I bought an adapter, seems I goofed as the headset adapter is at a right angle and turns towards into the way of the power cable.Syncing helps, even windows media player has some useful sync, but having podcasts randomly playing between tunes is rather a downer.

Its true the media experience is not in the same class as the iPhone but I have found some great tools to help the G1 become a decent media device.First off is syncing. If you are using a Mac or PC check out Salling Media Sync. It supports the G1 and will sync your iTunes stuff with ease. Or you can also use Double Twist if your on a Mac. To solve the issue of missing 3.5 jack, I am using an adapter that is 3-in-1. It lets you charge AND use the 3.5mm headset port at the same time. Here is a link: http://tinyurl.com/ct3qflI also snagged myself a suction cup iPod holder for my dash, this way I can mount the G1 in the car, charge,, and listen to music/podcasts with having easy access to it.Hope that helps somewhat with your media issues.

I've only had mine for about a week longer and wanting to use this as any kind of media device does bring a lot of fail, heck with such a bad battery and you can't even plug in headphones AND charge it?Still I prefer it to my iPhone but it does make me want a secondary media device. Zune?
