Guru Inspection: Pure Music Widget for Android

When I switched from the Hero to the Nexus One, the first thing I noticed was the lack of really nice widgets. Sense UI provides some of the best widgets for Android that are not only functional, but look great. Have no fear, Android developer Koxx has made calendar, messaging, and now music widgets that are fully skinable and highly functional to fill the gap on none Sense UI devices. Read on to see the full Guru Inspection of the Pure Music Widget.

The first thing I love about the Pure Music Widget is that it is fully customizable with many different types of skins. Sick of the glass look that everyone loves from the HTC phones? Well no problem, browse through and download many different skins to match the style you want. Another thing I love, is the amount of options for widget sizes. You have your choice of 1×1, 2×1, 2×2, and 4×1 sized widgets. Koxx is also working on a 4×4 full screen widget that isn’t ready quite yet. Take a look below to see all of the widgets with a few different skins on each.

The last thing I find really useful with this widget is the controls you get in such a small package. On the face of the widget you can open the music player (works on Sense devices too), skip forward, pause music, enable/disable bluetooth, toggle shuffle, toggle repeat, and access widget settings. That is a ton of functionality from a widget!

So does this app pass the Guru Inspection? YES! In fact I would say this should be one of the first apps you download on any Android device if you listen to music, audiobooks, or podcasts. Scan the QR Code below to snag it, or sear the market for “Pure Music Widget”.
