Android and me is reporting that they have received word that all current Android phones in the U.S. will receive an update to 2.1 This is great news!! As of right now around 80% of Android users are using Android 1.5 or 1.6 which is little long in the tooth. If this is true, will this finally silence the cries of fragmentation on the Android platform or will 2.1 be old news by the time this rolls out to every Android handset? Thoughts?
