Previously you could only purchase and read marvel comics through their mobile app or Chrome web store. Anything you purchase will also be available on your Marvel app for Android and iOS. Now if they could just get their subscription service, Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited, through their app, Marvel would offer a truly awesome digital comic service.

Google+ Web Interface Updated with a New More Simple Design

Google+ Web Interface Updated with a New More Simple Design

Still settling on a design for it’s social platform, today Google has introduced yet another interface change to Google+. There is now a customizable ribbon on the left that lets you move the buttons by dragging and dropping them in the order you prefer. Photos are now shown much larger with changes to tagging and album sorting to make it easier to share. Google is also creating a dedicated Hangouts page that makes creating, joining, and seeing hangout statuses easier. The new update is rolling out to users starting today. Check out the video below for an overview if you haven’t received the new UI yet or head over to the Google+ Blog page for a in depth break down.

Facebook Buying Instagram for $1 Billion

Facebook Buying Instagram for $1 Billion

In surprise move, today Mark Zuckerburg announced that Facebook will be acquiring the massively popular photo sharing app Instagram. At this time Zuckerberg has said they (Facebook) want to run Instagram as a separate brand rather than just integrate it into Facebook.

That’s why we’re committed to building and growing Instagram independently. Millions of people around the world love the Instagram app and the brand associated with it, and our goal is to help spread this app and brand to even more people. We think the fact that Instagram is connected to other services beyond Facebook is an important part of the experience. We plan on keeping features like the ability to post to other social networks, the ability to not share your Instagrams on Facebook if you want, and the ability to have followers and follow people separately from your friends on Facebook.
