AppBrain OTA App Installs Make a Return!
AppBrain.com is the best place on the web to go for search, syncing, sharing and manage apps for you Android device. A few weeks ago, Google updated the market and blocked the ability for ApBrain.com to install apps OTA. That functionality is back!! The big differences between this market and the Android Webstore is Appbrain.com can only install free apps OTA, but you can also uninstall apps via the web. You need to install the Fast Web Installer app from the market before you can take part in the OTA fun. It’s only a click away though.

Google Announces Android Market Webstore
Just the other day I wrote about Android needing a central place to find apps that can be accessed easily. Today Google announced the Android Market webstore. I’m not saying they created this because of my article, but I’m sure they did. The webstore gives Android users a place to search, download, and manage apps. Any apps downloaded from the webstore are wirelessly installed OTA to your selected Android device. One really cool feature is the support for multiple devices. You can pick and choose which device gets what app. The Market also features the ability to search for an app and filter the findings to help narrow down you results. The webstore, along with some other changes, should help Android developers and users have an overall better experience. And who doesn’t like OTA app installs!? I mean really!
