Samsung Nexus, er Droid Prime has a CDMA Radio

We’ve heard numerous rumors that the next Nexus device, name “Prime”, would hit Verizon with LTE. Then yesterday, news broke it might be called the Droid Prime and be an exclusive to Verizon. Today we have even more proof as a Bluetooth filing shows the device with a CDMA radio. Will we really see a Nexus device as an exclusive, or will this be like the Nexus One/Droid Incredible deal where a carrier device shares it’s hardware with the Nexus? Stay tuned!

Guru Inspection: Supertooth Disco Sounds System

SuperTooth has produced several high quality Bluetooth devices, but their latest Bluetooth stereo speaker Disco takes the cake. It has the best audio I’ve heard from SuperTooth, and some of the most powerful bass on a Bluetooth wireless audio system this size. The SuperTooth Disco is versatile and works with most Bluetooth A2DP devices and any audio device with 3.5mm output jack. Being just over 12 inches long, 2.5 lbs., and 10hours of battery life it’s also a very portable device.

I’ve found the battery life to be great on this device and the sound quality doesn’t suffer until the battery is about dead. However at that point the quality drops off significantly to the point of not being usable. Speaking of the sound quality this device really cranks it out. It’s very loud! The bass boost button turns it up to another level. You will easily entertain you and your friends at a crowded beach or park, and everyone around you too.

There are a few things about the device that I don’t like. It’s missing an audio out jack. I’d like the option to use this as a desktop speaker system and pop my headphones from time to time. That being said it’s a small flaw and everything else about this device is great. I’ve used it to sync with my Droid Incredible, iPod, and HTC Thunderbolt over bluetooth. I’ve also purposed it as my speakers for the small flatpanel TV I have. The sound on the Disco is far superior then the built in speakers.
