Gmail User Interface and Features Updated
Google has been doing some serious revamping of their Gmail UI and features. Today, rolled out now is the new Gmail page. When you log-in on your browser, you should see the option at the lower right corner to activate the new look. Some features added are the dynamic window resizing, you can change the display density, profile pictures are now available, and they have High Definition themes.
Also now if you look at the conversation thread in an email, it has been cleaned up and sorted for easy viewing. Google added improved search at the top to get to any content or email you are searching for very quickly. These are all great improvements and we like to see that Google is still innovating on their email service, to better our experience.

Google+ Gets What’s Hot, Ripples, and Creative Kit
Google Plus have been growing since it’s release, and more and more people are using it. What that means for Google is, they are constantly working on new features. Today, they announced 3 new features and to start it off is, What’s Hot. This allows users to see the most popular topics going on in Google+. What is going on in the world, popular photos, or even celebrities post. We are kind of relating this to Twitter trending topics, somewhat.
Next is Ripples, it is a tool that allows you to dissect a post and see how all the comments unfolded. It helps you relive a post, and learn how post grow in action on Google+. Also, there is Creative Kit. This utility allows you to edit your photos simply. The option to add effects to the picture or just sharpen one up with the editor, is now available.
Last but not least, Google has known everyone has wanted to do this, and has added the ability to add a Google Apps customer account to Google+. This will be a good transition to allow businesses and websites to use the service. Overall, these are all good additions and it is nice to see Google working hard to keep their social network fresh and evolving.

Google Possibly Opening Up it’s own MP3 Store?
Google’s only music offerings as of right now is, Google Music Beta that will take your music, upload it to the cloud, and let you stream it any time you would like. Now, rumors are pointing to the possibilty Google will be launching their own MP3 store to allow customers to purchase MP3 songs.
It would make a lot of sense for Google to launch this type of service to combat iTunes and Amazon’s services, especially since Amazon is beating them on their own platform. Surely more will unfold on this soon and hopefully we could hear about this next week on Google’s official launch of Android Ice Cream Sandwich and the new Nexus device. We will keep you posted.
