Power Skin for HTC Sensation Review
I love my Android phones, I really do. One thing they seem to always struggle with is battery life. There are plenty of “tricks” to help like turning down brightness, turning off GPS, etc. However, I am one who does not like to sacrifice my experience to try and save a few battery percentages. With that said there is no replacement for a larger battery, and that exactly what the Power Skin gives you. According to the folks over at Power Skin, this silicon case/battery hybrid will double your device’s battery life. Let’s see if that holds true in this Guru Inspection.

Guru Inspection: HTC Status Review
The HTC Status embraces a landscape first, portrait second design with a comfortable and ergonomically shaped body. The screen is a HVGA 2.6-inch touch screen with a 480 x 320 resolution that fits the phone’s size particularly well. The screen size will work for some and not be usable for others; it is a really narrow line that this phone walks on. The resolution is great if you use the phone for e-mail, texting, social networking and basic organizational things like a to-do list. However, if you’re looking for a web-browsing, excel editing, gaming powerhouse – the screen size will become an issue. Looking at larger canvases such as an e-mail attachments, websites and pictures is still totally doable but will require some work when it comes to scrolling. So the functionality is there it just may not be as easy to peruse things as on other 4-inch + sized smart phones.
HTC Bootloaders will be Unlocked Manually not Brand New
When HTC said they would allow unlocked bootloaders, all the die hard Android users and hackers screamed “YAY”! Since then, a lot of users have wondered how that was going to happen and what was going to be the process. Were the phones going to come brand new with unlocked bootloaders? Here is the skinny on how it is going to be achieved.
The phones will not ship with an unlocked bootloader, HTC will provide a web-based tool that will enable users to unlock the bootloader on their device. Devices will get an update that will allow the web-based software to do the unlocking, then you will have to set up an account that will of course ask you some questions like “You know your device could brick and it’s not our fault right”?
Currently the HTC Sensation and the EVO 3D are waiting for the update to their devices that will allow the web-based tool to work and then, we are sure many more will follow. So in the mean time, keep patiently waiting if you are needed that bootloader unlocked, it will be sooner than you think.
