Here is a pretty good pic of the myTouch Slide. Judging by the pictures, I have to say I like what I see. We have a decent spaced keyboard and a optical trackpad. I’m hearing it still uses the same processor as the G1 (ARM11), so no speed demon here. What do you guys think?
Sprint users have been hanging in there waiting for 2.1 while Droid and Nexus One users have been running around with the hottness for weeks (yes I know the Droid is 2.0 Vic, close enough). Well Sprint has released a statement to reassure us that everything is on track and testing is going well. Below is the quote.
“A while back we announced our plans to update our Android devices to 2.1 in the first half of 2010. I just wanted to follow up with a quick status. The 2.1 update is currently being tested and things are going very well so far. We’re still targeting the first half of 2010 and if things continue to go smoothly we should have the update well within that time frame. I’m sure there will be a lot of questions about procedures and more exact time-frames but for now I won’t be able to say much more. I just wanted you all to know that things are still on track.”
A spokes person from Walmart has come out and flat out denied that Walmart will be carrying the Nexus One. Does this mean the specs we saw on that page are incorrect as well? I don’t know about you guys, but that would stink if this was all a huge mistake. Below is a statement from Walmart’s Spokesman Ravi Jariwala:
“Due to a technical error, this item erroneously was displayed on our site. We’re working with our partner Let’s Talk to have it removed as quickly as possible. We have no plans to carry Nexus One in Walmart stores or online at Walmart.com at this time.”
Quote Thanks too Androinica
The HTC/Google love just keeps on coming! This is a supposive shot of the HTC Bravo. The Bravo is basically a Nexus One, but with Sense UI and a optical track pad. I am sure HTC will have a a few things to show off at MWC and I’m sure this is one of them. Between this and the rumored Supersonic, HTC is going to have one heck of a 2010 lineup.
