Google’s Eric Schmidt Speaks Up About HTC Lawsuit
Google has been extremely silent while all of their hardware partners are getting sued by Apple. Today during a Google conference in Tokyo, Eric Schmidt spoke up about the situation.
“We have seen an explosion of Android devices entering the market and, because of our successes, competitors are responding with lawsuits as they cannot respond through innovations,” he said. “I’m not too worried about this.”
When asked if Google was going to help HTC pay patent royalties if they lose, he simply said ”We will make sure they don’t lose, then.”
Things are starting to heat up, and I am very interesting in seeing how Google handles all of this.
