When the Nexus One was first announced it was with T-Mobile and a promise of Verizon in the fall. Before you CDMA loving fans get all the glory, Google has released an AT&T/Rogers 3G compatible version for $529. There is no subsidized price on the AT&T/Rogers version, so if you want one, you gotta pay to play.

The steps of a phone release are starting to come together for the Verizon flavored Nexus One. 1. It’s announced, 2. It goes through FCC, and 3. We get a leaked release date. So here we are with a rumored March 23rd launch date for the Verizon Nexus One. So far we have no details on pricing, but I am sure it will be along the same lines as the T-Mobile subsidized price. My only question is how will they handle upgrades? Time will tell.

Feeling a little jealous your Nexus One just got HTC Sensed up via the HTC Desire and you’re left with vanilla Android? Fret not my fair readers, as some fine young hackers at Modaco have managed to score the Desire ROM and started to port it to the Nexus One. Hit the THIS thread to find out more.
Coming from a HTC Hero to the Nexus One, I have missed the HTC Keyboard. Well that is all over thanks to the work over at xda-developers. We now have an apk that can be easily installed once put on your memory card. You can snag the apk file HERE, and see screen shots below.

In this video, Droidstory shows how he can force his N1 to loose 3G signal simply by covering the bottom of his phone with his hand. I remeber I used to have this same issue with the original iPhone. Hopefully this will be addressed ASAP by Google.
