Nokia Lumia 900 Review
The Nokia Lumia 900 is one of the most important phone launches this year. It marks the return of a Nokia flagship device to the US was well as representing the tight knit relationship with Microsoft and Windows Phone . This is the “it” device for both companies. Microsoft, Nokia, and AT&T have big marketing plans for the Lumia 900, as well as a lot riding on it’s launch. This device marks the first relevant step away from the iPhone and Android for carriers and consumers alike. Does the Lumia 900 live up to all the importance that rests on it’s shoulders? Wallbase, a Simple and Beautiful Wallpaper App for Android.
If you’re like me, you’re always changing up your wallpaper. It’s a quick and easy way to give your phone a new look. I’ve used just about every wallpaper app into the Google Play store and never really liked one. They all got the job done, but are slow, bloated and just ugly. That’s where Wallbase comes in. It’s a simple and beautifully designed app with a great selection of over a million wallpapers.
Wallbase not only looks good, but its very functional. You can save, set, and share wallpapers all within the app. Browsing is simple with “popular” and “random” categories, as well as a built in search engine. Wallbase uses tags in order to sort images which makes it much easier to find what you’re looking for. My only gripe is there are no traditional categories like “landscape”, “cats”, etc… Of course searching will find anything tagged with these terms, so it’s not a deal breaker.
The app is free in the Google Play store and is ad supported, or can spring for the $1.99 ad free version.
Accell Composite Video and Stereo Audio Cable for iPod, iPhone, and iPad Review
Most people don’t give a second thought to simple accessories for their gadgets. They want their accessory to work, and if it works they are satisfied.
I was sent an Accell composite AV cable for review from Accellcables.com. They list that it is compatible with iPad, iPad 2, iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (1st gen), iPod touch (2nd gen), iPod classic, iPod nano (3rd gen), iPod nano (4th gen), iPod nano (5th gen), iPod with color display, and iPod with video. Its main purpose is to allow you to display movies on another screen, but it also includes the capability to charge and/or charge and sync your device. It is a very generous 5 feet long, and feels very well-made.
