Motorola Xoom Android Tablet $799, HTC Thunderbolt $250
Android Central has some shots of what looks to be a Verizon device pricing sheet, including the upcoming HTC Thunderbot and Xoom tablet. The Xoom tablet, according to this sheet, is going to be a whopping $799! Even at an unsubsidized price, that is a lot of green! We also see the HTC Thunderbolt is going to go for $250, which we are assuming will be the two year contract price. So what do you guys think of these prices? Fair? Crazy? Too goo to be true?
Lenovo LePad Android Tablet U1 IdeaPad Hybrid w Video
We got up close and personal with the Lenovo LePad/ U1 IdeaPad Hybrid here at CES 2011. This convertible computer is a very interesting idea that combines an Android tablet and an IdeaPad laptop all in one. The screen is an Android tablet that runs 2.2, has a SSD, and contains all of the connectivity. The bottom portion is a full Windows 7 computer with a 250 GB hard drive that runs independently from the tablet. The transfer is handled by a proprietary docking and sliding system. Samsung TX100 Slider Tablet/Laptop w Video
The TX100 is a unique design that Samsung hopes will blend business with personal use of the PC. It is a full Windows 7 tablet that slides up to reveal a keyboard and become an ultra portable laptop. Specs in the slider were not very well knowon (check the video), but you can see it in action below:
